I'll do you a favor — don't bother listening to this guy. Stop breaking into people’s houses and skydiving, Colin and Finn. Worst quote: Finn: "Not only the ultimate but the penultimate." Colin: "Penultimate means next to last, Finn. But also..was right about Rory’s lack of journalistic prowess. Whether they have that certain something to make it in journalism. So if you're looking for someone to just be nice to the guests, get a harmonica player, or maybe some guy who whistles through his nose. We have leash laws people." I guess Yale doesn't have you take personality quizzes to match roommates? He built her a chuppah for a wedding to another guy! Memorable quote: (at Rory's graduation) "I'm blubbering. Wait, IS THIS A SHOW ALL ABOUT MOTHERS AND DAUGHTERS? I'm so glad I had all that sex.” Even if you hate nicknames, you'd let Babette call you “sugar.” She's always there for Lorelai, taking care of her house or her dog or letting her in on the new gossip. I heard some terrible crashing sounds coming from your living room today.
Worst quote: "My entire goal in life is to outlive my brother, inherit the family fortune, put all my sisters out on the street and live as frivolously as possible, have numerous wives, thousands of illegitimate children, and die completely alone and leave every cent to a parrot named Polly." Ken doll Logan comes complete with moronic sidekicks. Worst moment: Calling Rory "Mary." A Bad Guy, sure. Best quote: "I’ve worked with a lot of young people over the years. I’ve got a pretty good gut sense for people’s strengths and weaknesses. She was obsessed with secret societies and yelling at girls in bathrooms and parking garages. Worst moment: Trying to come between Rory and Paris's friendship in Season 3. Would like to know whether Luke or him was at fault for their first grade fight. It's open and shut — bing bang boom." Where to start? At least he got handed a lot of money from his dad and grandfather and used it on his kids. Best quote: "I am a great harp player, and this is my great harp, okay. " Before Taylor self-assigned himself as the dictator of Stars Hollow, apparently there was a mayor? Now I'm going to say something, and I'm only going to say it once. Lorelai is the protagonist of the— wait, you’re telling me this character isn’t Lorelai? She’s a single mother who’s hip and witty and loves quirky fashion apparently and owns her own business and her daughter’s an annoying little nerd. He was just as manipulative as her and never owned up to it. Luke has some trouble with communication and sometimes you're shaking your TV and screaming "Dude, what are you doing??? But he's always there for Lorelai when she needs him whether they're together or not. She was really trying as a mother, and she grew to understand Lane's life as Lane grew to understand hers. I like to goof off now and then, too, you know." Your trusty neighborhood mechanic whose secret crush on Lorelai is maybe one of the biggest missed opportunities of modern television. Best quote: “You know, it's times like these that you realize what is truly important in your life.
Most heart-wrenching speech given to Emily: "And why is it that when your only daughter tells you that she is getting married, you can't muster up even a little enthusiasm?
Last week we took a look at the Dragonfly Inn and some of the other sets used on the popular TV show “Gilmore Girls.” Today we’re checking out Lorelai’s house and the Gilmore mansion she grew up in.
Chad Michael Murray pre-A Cinderella Story, the movie we all definitely remember him from. I forgive him his sins a bit because he was so young. Hope he grew up when he moved to Tree Hill...didn’t watch that show. This girl needed to just..a step back a reevaluate. Somebody got murdered, then somebody stole the body. But he did the bare minimum as a father for most of Rory's life, and he seems to be irresponsible with birth control. " He could’ve been a little more patient with Lane... Best quote: "I asked for you and then she asked why, and I said because and she said because why, and I got nervous and tried to sell her a subscription to the Wall Street Journal." It doesn’t really get more Gilmore Girls than a sassy harp player. Shout out to Alex Borstein for not being able to get out of a FOX contract and allowing for sweet Melissa Mc Carthy to enter our lives as Sookie. Best quote: "I have been mayor of this fine town for a long time. Unfortunately sometimes children have to be disciplined. Worst moment: When she wanted to get rid of craft corner — THAT'S PARIS'S EMOTIONAL HOMEWORK! " One of Lane’s classmate’s who memorably loved Assistant Pastor Eric. He’s dumb but he loves Liz and he’s the guy that’s there for her through Renaissance fairs, doulas, and escrow. And Richard, like his wife, did think he was always doing the best thing for his family, but he seems to get a lot more credit than Emily does. Worst moment: When he got sick and Lorelai couldn't make him feel better and she cried and it was a metaphor for RORY!!!!!!!!! She brings joy into every scene, and I would really love to watch any of her one-woman shows for real, live any time.
Best moment: When she drank half a beer and confessed her whole secret life to her mom. Her relationship with Lorelai, though strained, really is motivated by love and conviction. His stupid “Ace”-saying, ugly blazer–wearing, condescending self brings out a different side of Rory. Maybe we should thank him for showing us the hypocrite she really is? She represented the opposite relationship from Rory/Lorelai with her mom but she still grew up to love and respect Mrs. She has these musical aspirations and no one hands things to her; she gets out there and tries to make it happen. Even if you see Emily as a villain, Kelly Bishop throws so much nuance and care into this character that it’s impossible to say she’s not fleshed out. Best quote: "Wake up, Rory, whether you like it or not, you're one of us. He looked exactly like Jackson and his voice was exactly like Jackson's, plus he was holding a banana, so I think he likes fruit." She kinda got a rotten deal in the end, but Lane is a good person and good friend. You were just a nerdy little Rory duplicate (but probably smarter) who didn’t belong in Stars Hollow. His reappearance in Season 7 is...bizarre and unfortunate. It's annoying." Love him or hate him, Kirk is the axis on which Gilmore Girls spins. He was a totally fine Lorelai love interest who matched her for wit, and the drama with their families was believable. Most pathetic moment: Trying to get people to stop calling him "Digger" always. I never watch more than 30 minutes of television a night partly because I think it's a waste of time and partly because there's nothing on. I'm happy to give up meat if you feel strongly about it. I enjoy playing those hymns on my guitar, and I really, really want to take your daughter to the prom." Stars Hollow would be too pleasant if he wasn't there to play antagonist every once in a while. He was an alright guy, and he was right to dislike Logan, but he also needed to accept that Rory wasn't interested in him. Worst moment: Trying to pressure Rory into sex and then skipping town like two eps later! not happened, we all know he would’ve been end-game for Lane. I don't smoke, I don't drink, I've never gotten a ticket, I'm healthy, I take care of myself, I floss. She's Type A to a concerning degree in high school, and while she doesn't fully change, she works on herself so that she can better relate to people.
